About Me:

My first job was as a sales clerk in a Dime Store in Valparaiso, IN.  I paid my way through college working full time and going to Purdue full time.  After marrying an Army soldier, I moved to Ft. Monmouth, NJ and from there to Heidelberg, Germany.  After a brief job as a keypunch operator for AAFES, I began my government career in Jan 1977 as a Military Pay Clerk at Patton Barracks.  When I returned stateside, I was a military pay clerk at Ft. Dix, NJ and then a Civilian Payroll Supervisor at Ft. Monmouth, NJ.  From there, I went to school to get 30 accounting credits and started working in Finance and Accounting as the Reimbursable Team Lead.  In 1994, I relocated to Indianapolis at DFAS as a member of the Tiger Team.  I was a Test Director on a system called DJAS and later became a Subject Matter Expert.  Next, I was the Centralized Disbursing Deputy Director Officer.  While on the DJAS project, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Management and my Master’s Degree at Ball State.  In 2003, I began working on the GFEBS Project long before the initial contract was awarded.  I was the Reimbursable Team Lead and was a key player in reengineering the reimbursable processes to include the Direct Charge Process.  I facilitated many workshops for disbursing, reimbursable, DMLSS implementation, and debt management.   In Jan 2007, after 30 years in civil service, I retired and became a contractor.  I have been a member of the Thompson Gray team since 2013  In Jan 2018, I have served the Army in some capacity for 41 years.  For this I feel honored.

Qualifications & Expertise & Achievements:

I was a key player in the deployment of multiple systems to include SOMARDS, DJAS, LMP, GFEBS and GFEBS-SA.  I have experience with both ORACLE and SAP.  I have been lucky to have jobs in operations that helped me to understand the Army’s Finance & Accounting processes.   I consider the successful deployment of GFEBS to be the greatest achievement of my career and proud to be a part of the “original team”.

On a personal level, I feel my greatest achievement was raising 2 children who are now loving adults who I am extremely proud of.  I am blessed with 5 grandchildren who I stay close to and enjoy immensely.  I am a very accomplished and experienced babysitter.
