About me:

It has been my pleasure to work for Thompson Gray for almost a year and a half, and it has been by far my best work experience.  Having spent more than 20 years in private industry working for such large companies as Chase, Wells Fargo, and Ernst and Young, I enjoy the personal relationships, fun activities, rewards/incentives and open-door policy of Thompson Gray.  This is also my first experience working in the government sector and I truly enjoy it.

I appreciate the support of management and their investment in my training, education and career development.  Through the company’s educational benefits, I will receive a degree in contracting from UAH this December and am also taking DAU courses in transportation and logistics.  The company even awarded my son their first $1,000 scholarship after implementing the program to help with education costs!

Qualifications, Expertise and Achievements:

My greatest achievements are raising a wonderful son, returning to school, surviving cancer, buying my first home this year, and obtaining this job which has opened doors of opportunity to a whole new career field.  I try to see the best in every situation, be a blessing to others, and make the most of every day as well as maximize life’s challenges, setbacks and obstacles to learn, grow and succeed.

About Me:

I have had the pleasure of working for Thompson Gray, just celebrating my 2 year anniversary.  Prior, I was still on the GFEBS project with Accenture.  Federal Services, and Funds Management was new to me, coming from industry for 20+ years prior.  I worked for SAP as a corporate trainer and FI/CO certifier.  I worked for Price WaterHouse Coopers as a SAP Management Consultant on many challenging and exciting projects.  I started my career in financials and accounting for close to 10 years with Waste Management, where our SAP implementation started me down this path.

I am born and raised Chicago Suburbs, Illinois resident.  Where I am lucky to work remotely supporting USAFMCOM.  Dream came true to witness the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.

I have raised two children on my own.  My daughter is a sophomore at the University of Illinois, Chicago with a theater major and minor in Education.  To hopefully, pursue teaching Theater.  My son is focusing on his future after high school.  Our family includes one very large Maine coon cat and two recent rescue kitten additions.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  Please if everyone could include my family in their prayers.  My younger sister is fighting stage 4 Multiple Myeloma Cancer and I have been commuting between Chicago, DC, and her home in California to help.

Qualifications & Expertise & Achievements:

Professionally, I hold SAP Certifications in FI/CO.  I also am certified to teach and administer those certification exams.

Personally, my greatest achievement would be my two children.  Family and friends had their doubts, as I could not keep a house plant alive – but happily my daughter is 20, and my son soon to be 19.  So far, so good!

The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden – because it looks cool (get it? Ice hotel / cool).  I think it would be beautiful, unique, and a once-in-lifetime vacation.  I’d also want to experience the Aurora Borealis during the visit.  I think it would magical!

  1. If you could chat with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you talk about?

Robin Williams.  To ask him:  why?  And to ask, if he had any suggestions, or ideas to help people struggling with depression and mental health issues.  Why couldn’t he find the joy that he shared selflessly with so many others?  And, finally, to ask for a joke or some sort of comedic relief.
